Dog Fouling. Please clean up after your dogs. Complaints of dog fouling have been reported recently on ASHBY ROAD and CHURCH LOKE. The South Norfolk Environmental Crime Officer has been asked to patrol the area. Offenders face fixed penalty fines or alternatively being taken to Court.
The South Norfolk Environmental Crime Team are eager to trace residents who fail to clean up after their dogs. However, catching them has proved very difficult in practise and our recent successes have been based on information supplied by residents. We therefore would welcome any assistance the residents of Thurton can offer in helping us identifying them. We appreciate that that some residents may have reservations about doing this and are not prepared to formally identify persons who fail to clean up after their dog. In such cases we are willing to approach the dog owner they identify on an informal basis allowing us to keep the details of the resident supplying the information confidential.
